Really digging the tapped horn idea.
in terms of extension to 20 hz can a small driver 8" go that low in a tapped horn? heres the parameters: would like 20hz will trade some efficiency for extension low cost driver <$100 can be a tall single fold horn to perhaps match tall fr blh that may be built as well. current speaker, DM302 -6 at 59hz per: B&W DM302 loudspeaker Measurements | Stereophile.com current amp 12x2 el84 tube integrated stereo subs prefered |

For extension to 20hz the path length needs to be long, so expect a much larger cabinet than you would for a 20hz BR cab.
Single folds are quick and easy to both simulate and build. I'm sure bjorno will chime in with some data on the T-TQWP Last edited by m R g S r; 5th February 2012 at 10:32 AM. |

Hi Etocynned,
Look through this thread, it shows about the maximum you can get out of 8" drivers: Dual 8" tapped horn = TH-SPUD Regards,
