Hi kornnylike,
Take a look at Art's (weltersys) Keystone sub thread: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofers/185588-keystone-sub-using-18-15-12-inch-speakers.html

Guys thanks for the above info and links.
This is what i am after efficient and going low with 4 box per side
Most of the design using the lab12 or flh. if 2lab12 in a flh is more efficient and go lower than 2lab12 in a tapped horn. i would use a pair of lab12 in the bass horn Epa design for me.Bass horn would need modification to fit the lab12.
The 18tbx100 is known to be used in tapped horn, if the 18tbx is more efficient and go lower in a tapped horn than a 2lab12 in a TH or FLH. I would use the TBX in one of Epa design.
speaker price
2 lab12 $ 322.00
18tbx $294.00
Which way to go

Hi kornnylike,
Going back to wood1y's thread: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofers/170749-15-tapped-horn-rcf.html I found a nicely documented tapped horn by Xoc1 that actually seems to work fine with the factory T/S parameters of the B&C 18TBX100. Hornresp calculates the V_net to be 454 litres, so this might be the volume range you could use to compare other designs to.

Good find Oliver thanks
490ltr is sim volume, I did another one that came out 450ltr flat from 30hz to 100hz.
RCF21 That is the driver olsound choose for his tapped horn, $440 is too expensive, if two rcF21 move more air and is louder than 4 18tbx then I will go with the rcf21.
2 rcf21 $880
4 18tbx $1200

Hi Y'all,
I think its lucky that the 18TBX100 is an almost perfect fit for Xoc1's design I referenced in Post #9. That design is pretty complete. It'll be hard to improve on that one substantially, maybe a slanted board from S1 to S2 to reduce the S1 area, but that is only necessary if you try to maximize the upper end of the response.

Oliver i am going with one of Epa design and thanks for pointing this out . i know Epa and myself would love to have you and Xoc1 help on this project.
Thanks
the post 5 box from the 30 hz topic is a 400 ltr cab.the tbx doesn't work that wel in it.
the post 466 is a 575ltr cab .it works in it but it could be better.
what about this design, its a bit wider but les deep also 575 ltr(stil needs some work thoug)
just noticed ,the le of the tbx is 1.6 mh
