Plenty of definitive answers from others in that thread, as well as the generalizations I made.
You are the only one deciding definitively what will work for you, and your room will make more difference in the response of your speaker than anything else, finish the subs and EQ them to the room and your taste.
Now get out of here, report back with how they sound when you fill the holes with those black thingies!
