As far as breaking in, normally when I have a new woofer I'm going to be dragging out all my "rambunctious" type recordings anyway, so I usually don't worry too much about breaking them in on purpose before putting them in a box. A few days of Flecktones, Fourplay, Spyro Gyra and Burial and they're good to go. Nature takes it's course normally. Breaking in a new driver is one of my last valid excuses around the house to put the volume up a bit
