Anyone have a chance to build and listen to one of these?

Yep. They are rather good (mine have the TB drivers). Played two of them (driven by 120w/ch) in a room of 7m by ~17m. Seemed happy enough playing music, loud.

Tried The Dark Knight, one each end of the sofa. Impressive. You feel the explosions and gunshots, though excursion was starting to kick in (maybe 10mm p/p). Much much much better than the pair of 8"s they replaced.
Even played bass guitar through them. In drop C# (the bottom frequency is 35Hz).

If you're okay with the size of them (the same driver would go in a much smaller ported box), I see no reason not to build them.
