I am looking to get some suggestions on a subwoofer I am building to match my Seas Fat Thor Speakers. I am using a Seas W26FX001 subwoofer and had decided on a ported box. I am going to use a 3.11 cubic foot box dimensions 31"x18.5"x13.5" with 1" MDF using a port measuring 2.75 x10". Couple of questions. First would a sealed or ported enclosure be better? If ported what is the best port size for tuning? What type of bracing should I use for the sub? Using this subwoofer with the Fat Thors what would be the best low pass frequency? What type of amp would be suggested to drive the sub either a BASH plate amplifier or an external one. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance Daniel |
