From an airflow stand point I also struggle to accept the "sharp corners don't hurt" viewpoint, even if it were true and inaudible. Can you calculate how three turns will affect the tuning? If not corrections of that port could be difficult.
In my world, airflow path bend sums equaling 90° defines a turn, for what ever that's worth. |

Nicely dawn, but I don't think the horizontal 180 bend will behave as dimensioned. If you are just burning wood though it should make for a nice experiment.
I also agree with 1audiohack that resistance in bends do effect tuning. What is the target on this design?

The effective length should be 36", 2.5" x 8" port in a 5'^3 box volume tuned to ~16.5Hz.

you could run it through hornresp - guess a final impedance measurement will tell how close you got to target Modelling a horn reflex enclosure in hornresp?

update: new information gained on loss coefficients in air flow = i got it really wrong, completely wrong, backwards, not good...
