Subwoofer enclosure Non-parallel enclosure to reduce standing waves
 

Currently designing a box for a 15 inch sub. How big a difference would rectangular enclosure be vs an enclosure with non paralllel surfaces ?

Unlikely unless your cabinet will be huge and crossed quite high.

The wavelength of 100 Hz is 11.3 feet.

I agree. the wavelengths are huge. Its a waste of effort to worry about box dimensions in that sort of way. The golden ratio found in room design can not be applied the same way to subwoofer box design.

My favorite box building tool is called boxnotes.exe (google it, its free). Its a cool box sizing app that will tell you the resonance issues and give you a great cut list to follow.
