Scan-Speak with Passive Radiator vs Sealed Peerless

Saw this at Solen.CA

30W/4558T00 31cm 51mm Al SCA Denmark SCAN-SPEAK
30W/0-00-00 Passive Rad 30W SCA Denmark SCAN-SPEAK
The box volume is 1.5 cubic feet (43L)

Could I do better, not louder, but faster/tighter using a single 12 inch Peerless XXLS in a sealed cabinet? . The Driver is the Peerless 830845 in a 2.6 cubic feet box

Application is for 2 channel only

The ScanSpeak Discovery 12 is basically an XLS. The basket's a bit different, and it's made in Denmark like the original XLS's, but same basic driver.

The difference between the two will just be that the PR setup (assuming it's well done) will trade off bass below its designed cutoff for greater efficiency slightly above cutoff. What that means in audiophool terms, who knows?

So assuming both has the necessary SPL for the room, which one would be better suited to a 2 channel audio system ?
