Default Any experience with Volt Radial drivers

I was looking at these, and while they appear to be PA style higher efficiency low x-max speakers, they... aesthetically look really nice Unless i'm mistaken, PMC sticks the 15" ones in half wavelength transmission lines in their high end speakers.

For anyone who knows about these, can you maybe let me know if they're decently linear past x-max (x-mech seems to be five times as high) and whether they're even a decent value (at $325 I don't really expect them to be).

I can't think of a home use of such high fs subs but it might be great in a car environment unless i'm mistaken; while the impedance is a bit high for a car amp the sensitivity seems relatively pretty good.

Not sure if I`d really pay three times as much for these over something like a Peerless XLS but it is tempting.

a freind of mine sold these drivers.
they where primarely used for pa stuf.
the idea for the radial design is ,that the heat from the driver is radiated ouside the box.
the quality is medium i'd say.
the 12 inch dual concentric sounds reasenable.
the 15 and 18 inch i heared in pa setup, they worked good ,but i was certenly not impressed by them.
they have(had i should say) alu vc former.
no flat or square windings.
freq range is a bit limmited due to the frame in the center.
they can move a lot past x-max whitout obvius distortion.
whe had the 18 inch to about 4 cm peak/peak with audible distortion.
cant realy compare because i never heared the peerles
regards erik

Well it looked like the same driver, at least.
