Default Maybe a idiotic question but gonna give it a try!

I currently have 2 old Radio Shack 8" CSW-8000 in a sealed box with a divider between the center bteween the woofers and it used to have 2 long rectangular tweets but I removed those and sealed off the ports where they were at, I am running them thru a standard Ford Taurus 4-door sedan with an old school Pioneer 220 watt amplifier with the subs hooked in standard wiring configuration and the back of the box faces right up against the back seat frame and the front of the woofers face toward the back of the car. I use an mp3 player connected to a casette tape that slides in the casette tape slot of the radio. This thing hits really hard for cheapo old school subs in a prefabbed box that used to have different subs in it and a cheapo amp The highest spl I can get is a Normalized Amplitude Response of around 2.52dB at 121.7Hz and a Custom Amplitude Response of 115.9dB. I want to get the most spl I can get outta this thing as possible (around as high as 95Hz to as low as around 15Hz) without changing the amp or radio just the box or possibly a different brand and size woofer that I have laying around, I am extremely strapped for cash right so don't really have the money for good quality stuff. A friend of mine told me to just build a 22x22x28 bandpass box for the 10" Polk Audio db104 sub and place the sub exactly dead center of the box and wire it as standard wiring with 2 ports at 3" o.d. x 9" long. Does this seem fesible? And for the 2 8" I have currently in my car, he told me I should junk that box and build a 22x22x27 bandpass box with the sub baffle in the dead center of the box and mount the subs and use the same 2 port diameters and length as the single 10" from above and use standard wiring configuration. Does this one seem fesible?

Here is my current setup which does hit pretty had despite the el-cheapo subs and prefabbed box:

I did both for all to check out but I tweaked them a bit to get what I think is best for my taste of music. Please let me know if he was correct. He just came up with the numbers right off the top of his head with out needing to know what kind of subs or use software so I did just as he said thru a computer program called BassBox Pro and came up with the following but I tweaked them a little. Let me know what ya'll think and which one I should go with for best spl using music such as gucci mane, young money, bass outlaws, ect.... Sorry if this is a dumb question and please feel free to criticize if you wish.

The single 10" Polk Audio in a bandpass box shows a maximum Normalized Amplitude Response of 12.4dB at 30.01Hz and a Custom Amplitude Response of 122.7dB as you can see if you use BassBox Pro and the following info:

And here is the one he suggested for the 2 old school Radio Shack 8" CSW-8000 it shows a maximum Normalized Response of 8.63 dB at 27.75Hz and a Custom Amplitude Response of 122.1dB.

Do either of these seem fesible for my type of music and trunk compartment to get high spl? Should I waste my time building one? material is not cheap when you are poor like me, lol.
