You'd think they might have a better use for it, but what do I know.

Pointless.......for no other purpose than the "my **** is bigger than yours" contest.

Big sub in a too small enclosure. Typical.

Perhaps it's intended to increase the neuron transfer rate. I guess they need a little more time, not working so far.

Not bad

Thiele/Small parameters for AWT-34X:

Fs 13.6Hz
Qts 0.968
Qes 1
Qms 11.65
Vas 743 Liters (~26 cu ft)
Re 1.95 ohms
Le 1.15mH
Xmax +/- 30mm
Pmax 5000 watts

Assuming 1" plywood, the Zilla Audio BIB calculator gives me this

4 feet 4 inches wide
6 feet deep
20.5 feet tall...

At 211 pounds for the thing, I would use angle iron and steel plate to support it.
Efficiency is quoted at 89 dB

Then again, for 5K I could get 4 Danley DTS-10 DIY kits...

Sooooo....who is going to run 4 of them open baffle? Who will offer a flat pack BIB for that sub?

Probably not, my guess is it's unusable above 40 cycles or so.

I'm still waiting for some twit to install one of these in a car.
