Default bk monolith subwoofer help

The weather is getting better again so time to get on with it
-----------------------------

the parts i have are all from Bk
port, subwoofer 300watt sub.... and the 500 plate amp

i think i heard it needs about 100L in total (amp to be in the box)

the "port is port H 450"

ruff dimensions of space will be replaceing my fronts so unsure what size there be yet should not effect gap much
space in mm
D 450 x W 500
H taller than port guess maybe 600

any help on the box size and bracing... also for getting the amp in would be great

i may just gloss black it rather than the effort of veneer to much hassle... i to have tools like table saw and so on

Hi there: There are a lot of people on this site who would be glad to assist, however, you need to provide information on the driver specifications (T/S parameters), normally available from the manufacturer/dealer or best your own measurements. Not much can be done without this information... "guestimates" will leave you with a suboptimal design.
...regards, Michael

95 L net tuned to 20 Hz claimed and I figure with a 10 cm i.d. flared vent it's ~15 cm wide, so add this much space between the inside top and vent to find its inside height and once you know how much to add for the driver and bracing you can calculate the required width x depth area you have to work with.

Since a sub's pass-band has WLs many times larger than a small casing, horizontal and vertical 'window' or 'holey' braces to tie all six sides of the cab together as well as brace the driver and support the long vent is pretty much the standard these days.

would this roughly work or is there some pictures or even vids to show.......
for the amp part im guessing i have to seal it off from the main box as in a box in a box so the amp don't get damaged

is there any online or offline programs recommended for the box i have seen a few out there dont think the winsisd any good for that or not the alpha one anyway

Yes, you have to have an airtight cab except for the vent exit for it to perform properly: bk monolith - Google Search

I don't know of any freeware that will sim a flared vent except possibly AkAbat, but if you're using the Monolith's driver, etc., even if your cab is off a little in size shape it won't be audible at [sub]woofer frequencies.

Yeah, it's such a small cab that one each way to tie all six sides together plus brace/support the driver, vent should be plenty.
