Default ebay woofers

Ebay has some very inexpensive 15"-18" woofers. Some sell for about $60-$80 /pair Anyone check out these speakers for fs, other TS parameters?

Above is a sample. As you mentioned a lot of different ones. If there is a particular value, perhaps that could be pointed out

Given the smaller magnet size, expect Qts to be high (~1). These drivers are hard to match into reasonable sized cabinets, so I avoid them. The foam surrounds put them in the ultra cheap category since most decent drivers don't use foam. Fs can be anywhere in the 20s or 30s.

Go for the Eminence Alfa 15a sub drivers in "H" frames. Can get much cheaper than that and they sound great.

RE the 450w....That usualy is the representative size of the advertisers' imagination. About it. Divide by 10, probably much closer to the truth.

Thanks for the recommendation on Emminence spkr, will check into it.

Here is a link to Martin King's paper about OB, "U", and "H" frames. Great read and cheap to build.
