That sub is ok but it still requires an enclosure and it is an oddball. I would recommend a traditional subwoofer driver. What size enclosure are you considering.

As small as possible.

I was also thinking maybe something along the Ripole lines.

We would need more information on how the sub is going to be used, integrated, room size, home theater or music, any additional details will help.

Yep, the 6.5" Tang Band subwoofer in a small box would work.

Tang Band W6-1139SI 6-1/2" Subwoofer
plus
Dayton Audio SA100 100W Subwoofer Amplifier

Would probably do. Still, if it's a massive room, or silly SPLs are required, then one of those might not be enough.
What's the budget?

Chris

Edit - just realised your location. Perhaps something from Peerless would be available?

It's just for music, I will use a Mini DSP as the crossover it will be temporarily used with a pair of my old KEF speakers. The rooms probably not worth considering as it will move around as she does, where not really after audiophile here, just something that will be good at making a far amount of noise below say 80-100 hz, I haven't measured the old KEF's as yet to know how low they go.

I like the whole Ripole idea as the speakers I have built for myself are Dipole & I think it's best if the box is kept small as possible.

Thanks

David

Thanks, I will look into it, I have an IcePower mudule I'm going to use to power it & MiniDSP to control.

I didn't notice his country of origin... Australians sure get the short end of the stick when it comes to prices on a lot of stuff. I am on a few woodworking forums and it seems Australian woodworkers are somewhat limited in their tool choices as well unless they want to pay massive shipping charges.
