fs, Qts and Vas. Poor efficiency? No. Closed boxes are fine unless you're thinking about horns?

I have read that for the same spl closed boxes require more watts.

When I build a vented midwoofer enclosure, I can block the port and only the bass will change. I have read about up to 3dB of efficiency. Whatever the reason for this, 3dB is not enough to lose sleep over, in my opinion.
