Hi......fairly new to DIY so excuse the newbie-isms.
Have an early '90s NHT SW2 / MA-1 combination. Something in the MA-1 amp has let its smoke out, and it no longer performs (keeps blowing the input fuse). Therefore, I am toying with adding an internal (plate?) amp to the SW2 and turn it into a powered sub. Does anyone have any good ideas/suggestions for an integrated amp for the SW2 (16 x 16 x 16 cube)? I have tried to get hold of Jack (Hidley) to see if he may have any leftover plate amps or MA-1 parts but have not been able to reach him. BTW, the MA-1 was an 80 Watt'er but the SW2 will handle 200W. I am looking for the most economical solution to be able to continue using this sub. Thanks for your help! Eric. |
