Here goes... (first thread... so nervous...)
I've got a 100w at 4ohm plate amp. With the subwoofer / box combo i've built, I need to set the output of the plate amp to 33W rms / 11.489Vac to the subwoofer at 75% preamp output. I figure I'll just hook up the speaker, play a 50Hz tone at 75 %preamp output and dial up the gain on the plate amp until i see 11.5Vac on my multimeter. sound right? |
