hi I've been play with hornresp and have come up with something crazy large which would be perfect for a platform in my room
4' wide 1.5' high, this would vent in a corner sold concrete on all sides. Are there any issues i don't know about regarding mouth shape? i.e. what impact does changing the mouth shape away from square have on the response of a tapped horn? |

Provided that the longest dimension of the mouth is less than a 1/2 wavelength at the highest frequency to be used, the shape is relatively unimportant. Just keep it as "compact" as possible, avoid "long and thin".

Hi guys,
When thinking about the old EV diffraction midrange horns, it seems to be the short dimension that determines the effectiveness of the horn? Might be an interesting one to actually test? Regards,
