- After many attempt to match some commercial subwofers with my Acoustats 1+1 ESLs, I decided to build one by myself. indeed, everything I tested was desapointing, there was no advantage in the low region, and a decrease of homogeneity in the 80-200 Hz area.
- I'm using multi-amplification with a behringer DCX as low filter, High cut at 80Hz. I've got a nice JBL E155-8 on my shelf, and I wonder if it is worth to make something with it, before spending some money for another one... Fs=30hz-Qms=2,2-Qes=0,22-Qts=0,2-Vas=425-Xmax=5-S=0.115 A - Ripole ? i know, Qts is pretty low for this kind of things... But I never hurd any Ripole, so i'm ready for a test. B - Bass reflex ? 35Hz in 180 liters seems possible. Shall I use this nice JBL, or spare some monney for a Monacor SPH450 for example ? Thanks for advises, Mathieu |
