Just installed new tinsel wire leads...

I soldered them all correctly and left enough slack, but the wires keep touching together, maybe a little too much slack? Is there any way to fix this without re-soldering? maybe it wont happen again, but would electrical tape be okay to put on the wire? it may add too much weight and break it.
 
Only you can judge...

You could try splitting a bit of heatshrink or stripped-off lightweight flex covering down one side and then carefully manoeuvering it over the wire by opening up the slit. It should spring back closed and stay in place. You only need to insulate one wire.

I'd do it properly. Unsolder the leads from the terminals, then as you resolder, give each one a full turn of twist between your fingers, so that when refixed, each naturally wants to spring away from the other. Oh, and make sure you haven't allowed to much slack, as the wires can slap against the cone creating a horrible ticking noise. ;)
