Default Aliante 12 Ltd as home sub

I am the proud owner of a Phase Linear ALIANTE 12 Ltd.

Was wondering if it coule be used as a home subwoofer. I have been using it in a sealed enclosure in the car. I would like to put it in a vented enclosure for home use. Would it be possible to use LLT (as in shiva x) design?

Many Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

I tested one of the Aliante Ltd 12" in a very narrow T-TQWT sim. that should work well if the driver magnet is recessed into the rear of box.
See the zipped file: Which one is your driver?

Bjorno,

Thank you for your response. It took me a while to visualise the T-TQWT horn.

Looks an interesting creation. Never built one before, only ever done sealed, vented and passive radiator speakers. This has sparked my interest!

My driver is the one in 12ldc001 - 003 files. I will try and dig out the spec sheet that came with it. These were specific to the driver they were packaged with.

This driver was bought as an impulse buy around 1999.

Cheers
Paul
