Hi Djk,

I decided to go with the PD.1550 specs you've provided rather than the Fane as I have 2 ready, but might hurt my pocket later on if I decided to expand to 4 cabinets.

I attached the link for the cabinet, if you have free time, please check the specs for any corrections.
External dimension L33 1/2" X H 21 5/8" X 23 5/8" (approx.) as it was drawn in metrics 85cm X 55cm x 60cm.
I will be using 18mm/13ply Russian Baltic Birch and will be built fully rebated.

Plus, I enclosed another 15" PPSL driver candidate, somehow similar with the OEM 15629 and Kappa Pro 15. maybe you can also provide the best cabinet dimension for this driver (15FH500).

FaitalPRO | LF Loudspeakers | 15FH500

Djk,

Will (2) Two PPSL 2X15" cabinets perfectly match (2) Two Sls920 per side outdoors?

Thanks.

Here's the PPSL 2 x 15" (for PD.1550)
- bracing wil be as described by Djk and wil have pocket handles.
- will utilise the PPSL upright for singles, sls920 pole mounted on top.
- external dimension H 550mm x W 850mm x D 605mm.

Thinking of building it in double baffles to add strength,

Any suggestions and comments will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I haven't read this entire thread, but this seems like a very intriguing design.

However, kind of large & heavy. Has anyone tried this in a 2 X 12", PPSL ?

Yes, and in this thread somewhere c/o Norman Bates, IIRC. They were Dayton drivers - I don’t think that particular model is still manufactured, however. I could be wrong - I didn’t see it on PE any longer last time I looked.

Edit: Norman’s POST - my mistake: 4 x 12”
