You'd have to operate the cabinet solely at that frequency, but it will be very very loud.

Subwoofer Enclosures, Sixth and Eigth Order/Bass Reflex and Bandpass

For every day use, a sealed box would likely be better.
A 6th order bandpass box may indeed provide added output over a narrow range compared to a sealed or even ported enclosure, but in SPL competitions they are not often used because they are an innefficient use of space. A 6th order (or even 4th order for that matter) bandpass box takes up so much space, that you can better utilize that space with a larger quantity of sealed or ported subs. When dealing with SPL in cars, your very limited space is something that must be carefully analyzed and considered.

The majority of the theory will not actually help you get to your goal.

Peak Car Audio SPL is completely different to a loud music system.

To answer you question, you need to know.

a) What range of frequencies do you want your subwoofer(s) to play.

b) What woofer and enclosure combination will best get you that responce.

c) How much power you will need to get it to the output level you need.

Agreed, ff you are space limited to the trunk only then typical ported enclosures tend to work well. With that said the loudest single woofer car (180db +) is using a bandpass enclosure. But that is taking the use of space within the vehicle to the extremes.

Good grief! And I thought morphing a pair of Altec A7 small theater horns into my brother's '75 Camaro back seat area way back when was the epitome of ridiculous.
