Works just fine for making ‘matterhorns’ (ended up as 10500cm2 at the mouth exit instead if the 11500 in the pic). Absolutely destroys the 6 th order series/transflex bandwidth/impact it replaced in here(because of all those higher qw resonaces and junk) . But goes much lower and with authority as compared to a ‘paraflex’. Creepy !!

Car audio drivers are typically not good matches for THs. They tend to have both low sensitivity and high inductance, and the semi-inductance parameters for the driver will have to be measured and used in the Hornresp sim to determine their impact on the response at upper bass frequencies.
Well, my SAME car audio driver has been working fine for home theater for the past 10 years. I don't need it to play UPPER bass, it's a SUBwoofer. My 15" mains can handle the UPPER bass.

While you fooling, I got a 25-30 year old car audio driver in my car that should have died years ago.

You have really small ports, what do you tune @?
Together, they equal 1/3 of Sd. The twin ports equals a single 13" high x 4" wide port. I think it's around 70hz. 60hz would probably be the lowest I would go in a vehicle when comes to BP4's. That transfer function kills the upper octave of the bandwidth. You can get up to a 30dB boost at 20hz in a vehicle.

Remember, it's only a single 12" driver from the 1990's.

The older car audio drivers are quite different to the ones you get these days. My old JBL 1200Gti would have worked quite well in a 4th order BP box, perhaps even a 6th.

The modern car audio drivers have low Vas, high Le, and pretty low efficiency. Great for getting one-note bass from a car audio build, but not much else.

I do NOT have 1 note bass in my car.

The Roland TR-808 has bass from 30-60hz with a DECAY knob.

Old School Hip Hop was originally made with that drum machine.

The Yamaha DAW from that era had a 30hz tone that could be triggered.

When you hear the term "808" in today's music, it's referencing the Roland TR-808.

Today's FL Studio, Logic, Pro Tools, etc. have 808 plug ins.
