can Infini Kappa ref1260w be used for HT sub

Hi,
I had designed and made a pair of TR lines using DAINTY 8"woofers[Qts >1.0 & Fs = 45Hz] and have grown tierd of its boomy sound, so i"ve decided to trash it and start afresh with a ported 12"er using the Infinity Kappa reference 1260w car subwoofer as most of you all are well aware that India is a bad place for audio diy'ers cause you cannot get a decent subwoof driver here. So I decided on the compromise candidate as my first choice before I buy wanted to have some sugestions wether this would work fine as a HT subwoofer. I'd already run the data in WINisd and obtained box volume of 74.66lit and tuning frequency of 23.6hz. Although the graph seems ok what makes me think twice is that it is a car subwoof driver whoes fs lingers around 0.4 so compared to dedicated subs I would like to know wether the tonal quality[thud, thump, boom, tight, loose, lumpy etc. etc...] would be just right since what I am asking is something an avid auditioner would be able to judge best. Math, stats, graphs, feelings and then judgement each are very dependent on its predecessor. each without the assistance of the other is simply meaningless. What i'm trying to convey might strike a chord with people who are into R&D.. so here's where your experience comes in.
Other connoisseurs are also invited for their precious comments regarding wether I should dig any further or stop short of the Kappa1260w..thanx
 
Generally speaking, a HT subwoofer won't need to be as accurate as something intended for music use. Primarily, HT effects are rumbles for earthquakes, and explosions. These don't require particularly great transient response. Boominess only really comes to the fore when you're listening to music.

If the graph winISD has given is flat to around 25Hz, you're likely on to something. However, I'd add a steep low cut filter, to save the driver bottoming out at frequencies below tuning.
