Dear valuable diy users,
I have this set of speakers removed from my car. I want to use them in my home. Please give me a hint about how to build some apropriate chases for them.
Thank you,
Eugen

Small sealed angeled boxes that you put against a wall with the speaker facing forward on a slanting baffle.
Or anything else that comes into your mind.
There is probably no right way to do it without first testing so...
If you have some spare time and scrap wood to try it out then why not.
I would not expect miracles in terms of sound quality but it might be a fun and learning project.
*edit* Did you want to use them as a sub or keep them fullrange?

Hi,
Simply put car speakers do not suit sealed boxes unless they are very
big, and the EQ needed for speaker boxes is not built into car speakers.
Keep them in the car, and buy or build some proper hi-fi speakers :
Zaph|Audio - 4" Bargain Mini or
Zaph|Audio - ZMV5 - MCM / Vifa 5" System

Someone asked for the specs
3 way coaxial
15 x 24 cm (6"x9")
power: 150W RMS (300W max)
Freq response: 35Hz - 22kHz
Sens (SPL): 94dB
impedance: 4 ohmi
titanium tweeters
installation depth: 118mm
cutting dimensions: 152x229mm
Actually i have two pcs of JBL Studio L890 floor standing speakers for hify listening and a Harman HK 990 amp. Indeed for the L890 the frequency starts from 27Hz as for the car speakers it starts from 35Hz. You all may be right about the quality of the sound.

Hi,
The specs are meaningless, utterly meaningless in terms of hifi speakers.
/sreten.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Somewhat overengineered in terms of the number of tweeters IMO.
Your car 3 ways could work in stuffed sealed boxes as wall/corner rears.
