MTM vs MT for center channel speaker

I am planning 2 build a center channel speaker and surround speaker for my PC audio system. Should i stick 2 the Traditional MTM design or MT design? Thanks alot.

For a PC system, why not stick to full-range drivers and add a subwoofer?

They eliminate the need for a crossover, and small PC speakers are unlikely to need treble help anyway (unless it's a really big screen and room)...

an MTM would be hard to fit under of over a monitor... (don't even think about laying it sideways)

thanks for your guys opinions anyway. But i would like to design this system more towards gaming use and movies rather than songs (will be in bypass mode).

The mounting is not critical... the speaker enclosure will be suspended/supported
using appropriate hooks. But i just want 2 know if the sound quality differs if using MTM vs MT design (matching with main speaker if using MTM) because my main speakers are in MT config. Thanks

With MTM on a horizontal, you'd get lobing where frequencies constructively and destructively combine, as you move about the room. For one person in one place, that should be fine. Still, a decent full ranger is cheaper than a midbass and tweeter of similar performance. Plus, there's the crossover to work on.

I've used full-range drivers for gaming, they cope fine (Left4Dead2).

Quality wise (and using the same budget for each project), the MT will sound better, simply because you won't have to spend extra on more speakers than necessary, meaning you can use better drivers.

What's the rest of the system?
