Dear members,

I have a problem with two ElectroVoice DL18MT subwoofers. The zero position of the cone is to far to the back. The spinner seems a little dry. Does anybody know how to soften or regenerate the spinner and / or the outher ring of the speaker? The spinner seems to be impregnated with a kind of epoxy material. Perhaps a solvent can work.

thanks in advance

Acetone will soften the phenolic resin in the spider. Don't overdo it and get it on the glue joints.

If you have an MTL4 it is a good idea to rotate the top and bottom woofers every year or so. Rotate the left and right woofers 180°.
