Hello. Is it possible to connect one (1) active subwoofer to a Marantz 2285B receiver/amplifier? If yes, how? I am using just 1 set of speakers, not both. Thanks a lot in advance. Juan

IIRC mine has pre out/amp in links on the back. Remove them and get some Y (splitter) leads connected to the pre-out. Loop one pair back into the amp-in and the other pair to the sub line level inputs. Hopefully the sub amp will allow it to mono the two channels.
This won't provide any high pass to the main speakers though. For that you'll need to buy/build an external electronic xover of some sort. |
