[ SoundSplinter Subwoofers - High Excursion Professional Subs - DIY Audio Drivers ]
Anyone had experience with these woofers........ Any good? or car audio garbage!?!? Would they work in a vented enclosure |

Which version and size? They make a wide variety and are pretty highly regarded in home audio circles. I personally have never used them however.

Yes, I expect they would work vented (they sell PRs, so chances are they will...).
However, with that much displacement, a small sealed box, with a 12dB/oct LP filter (effectively a LT circuit, but with loss) would give really low bass, but max SPL would be limited. What're you thinking of using it for? I'd say they lean towards high power applications, more HT than car (higher resistance voicecoils).

TC Sounds was their OEM, before it self-destructed. Soundsplinter drivers are very high quality.
