Default Driver Options for Sealed 12"

Hello,

I want to make a sealed sub, mid-30's F3, 12", downward-firing, to mate with a Jordan FX92S. The options I have identified so far are the SB SB34NRX75-6 and the Peerless XXLS 830845. I have built some good subs from Peerless products many years ago, and was hoping to get some insight on the SB in general, and this driver in particular, as well as potential alternatives.

Thanks

John

You should also have a look at the new TRIO12 from CSS in Vancouver

Hi Coke - how did you find the sound quality of the Trio12 vis-a-vis the other options?

Actually I don't have the TRIO12. I recently built some secondary subs for my HT, one of them was with the TRIO8, overall the TRIO8 matches(SQ wise) very well with my main sub which is a Peerless 830844 and PR. My thought was that if you like the sound of the Peerless subs then I think you would enjoy the TRIO line up, with their XBL motors they provide very low distortion with high xmax capability.

The one concern I might have is using them in a down firing configuration - you should check with CSS regarding this.
