I run Ubuntu 9.10 and use hornresp inside VirtualBox running XP. I didn't have good luck running it under Wine. Wine runs LTspice just fine though.

Also not sure about the 8 foot bit. Is the box 8 feet tall (16 feet of horn), or is it an 8 foot horn folded in half to make a 4 foot box
yep, 8' tall. You said you had 6' to 8' of height. As simmed, it's roughly 12x12x96. That would make a nice slender column in the corner.

If this is too tall, you can double fold it, and roughly double the depth from 12" to 24", and make it about 4' tall.

Thank you littlemike, it's going to take me a quite a bit of studying to get the hang of hornresp, but the link you gave helps alot. I'm not much of a math whiz so it will be a challenge.

thank you guys, David.

Littlemike, I have taken to using an XP machine for hornresp as when running under Wine in Ubuntu always crashes when I try to use the Segment wizard or TH wizard. Did you ever have that trouble?

Honestly, 99.99% of my hornresp efforts are on Windows box. I set it up under WINE to see if I could, as I dual-boot Ubuntu and XP on my Laptop.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

VirtualBox, do it. There's a pre-built for Ubuntu already in the software center.

So VirtualBox, Ubuntu, & WINE are to help non-Windows OS' use Hornresp?

Specifically Linux users, though OSX also makes this list with a little effort.

Thank you all for the help!!!
I enclosed pics of the process

I do have one issue though, it seems to be distorting or canceling out at the low end, and I'm wondering if there was some sort of adjustment I could make to remedy the problem, while I was building it I started worrying if I should have taken the area of the back side of the driver into consideration because it is right in the mouth and is quite massiveClick the image to open in full size.
