Those complaining of the absence of LAB horn plans should realize that the LAB 12 never had plans in the Eminence provided pdf file. The plans are hosted at PSW LAB, but no plans for the LAB 15" yet.

I'd want my lab15 the other way.

Home? You're joking, right? Live sound, silly. Why would anyone want a high efficiency 40hz horn for home. I wouldn't. And why on earth would anyone want a low efficiency 20hz tapped horn for live work?

I'm with Davy on this one. You can have your 18 Hz Fs "subwoofers" that take kilowatts (and need every one of them to get loud).

Give me a well-made 15 inch driver with a 35 to 40 Hz Fs, 95+ dB 1W efficiency, 18+ mm of one-way Xmax, 30+ mm of Xmech, a Vas of less than 100 L, a high BL, and reasonable Q values. I don't really see a need for more than 500 W of RMS power handling. Make it cost less than $200.

The Lab15 is so close, but not quite.

Oh - and I want a pony too.

I didn't expect I'd ever find them at Eminence. Someone has to have an idea for this thing.

I'll take a perfect power amplifier with infinite current capacity and at least 1000V output capability. I don't mind if it makes some heat, either.

I'm a thinking this is what the the LAB 15 is for...

Funny thing is that it's OLD, so maybe the driver was originally an OEM unit for this company.

Sure reads like a description of a PA tapped horn to me. Nothing new to be learned there. Davy pretty much presented that model in post #10 of this thread - albeit as a direct comparison to Jim's cabinets.
