Just a quick question about sonosubs, if I am to build one, it is basically a ported sub except after modelling in winisd for the volume, I need to calculate it based on a cylinder instead of a rectangle correct?

yes.
Search will yield lots of good info, like this: Need help building Sonotube Subwoofer Probably the one big concern on sonotube subs, is to make sure that your driver can -- over a long period of time -- be down firing without sagging. There are however, people that have made transmission lines, tapped horns, wave cannon's and other kinds of alignments with sonotube, ported is not the only option. |
