My father is a cabinet maker and has access to all kinds of tools and material so I thought he could make me a good subwoofer enclosure. However, we don't know much about audio equipment.

Are there good drawings for a subwoofer designed around cheap parts? Here's amp and driver I was thinking of getting

I browsed this forum back to 50-60 pages and did some searching but the schematics I found were either for multiple drivers or more expensive equipment.

Also, he could make a pretty complicated enclosure but we just need good schematic with all the numbers. But maybe I am just better off buying a complete subwoofer like Bic F12 or something like that for this budget ($150-200)?

For that budget, going DIY is definitely a better value :)

No real need to get fancy unless you wanted to, sealed enclosures can be really easy to build, and work great.
