Hi, ignorant newbie here...
Has anyone built a box for this driver (or any of the XXLS 10" from Peerless)?? I tried using WinISD, but I could only find an alpha version, which is giving me some trouble - I enter the specs of the 830843 and WinISD keeps telling me some of the values are not correct. These values I got from Tymphany's website.. Any help/advice or suggestions on a box design would be appreciated. Thanks |

Which values are incorrect?
That's one of the annoying things about WinISD alpha, but it's pretty easy to fix. Just delete one of the conflicting values and let the program calculate it instead. You might get some slight rounding errors, but it should be pretty close. Just trying the 830843 myself, I left Qts blank and entered only Mms, BL, Le and xmax in the other parameters. This gives the following: Qts = 0.447 Cms = 0.5072 mm/N Rms = 1.38989 Ns/m Re = 5.851 Dd = 21.02 cm Sd = 347.1 cm² While the specs give: Qts = 0.44 Cms = 0.51 Rms = 1.39 Re = 5.8 Dd = 21.2 Sd = 352 They're all pretty close (you can get closer if you use Qes = 0.465), so it's not going to make a huge difference, particularly if you go sealed (as I think the 843 is designed for). |

Thanks to you both, I'll look at the tutorial and try it with the calculated values.
Cheers |
