Default ampli for acoustimas 7 recommendation

i have just acquired a "Bose acoustimass 7" subwoofer for free
but just the subwoofer alone, the sat speakers are missing
i'm planning to use my logitech z640's satellite speakers with it.

my problem is that i have absolutely no idea what amplifier to get for this subwoofer

i have little background with electronics so i was thinking of DIY ampli(thats why i'm here ) can anyone suggest if i should just buy a kit or make myself one

TIA

Sell the Bose to a sucker and build a better sub?

As for amps, the LM3886 and other linear chip amps are good value. They can be paralleled and bridged to obtain quite high power output. You may be able to scrounge a suitable power transformer, filter caps, and heat sinks from a broken stereo receiver.
