All,

Background:
Some years back I purchased 2 Monacor IMG Stageline SP385-G for use in a medium concert arena.

Up until now these has not been in use, and I am looking at the possiblity to use them as a additional subwoofer in the load speaker system for movie.

Use: Mostly movies, but also some music.
Size: Not extremely big, and the finisih must be good looking.

Today
1,) Are the woofers suitable for their new task?
2,) Any tricks regarding setup? Standard, push-pull, or even using only one of them?
3,) Volume of the box?
4,) Damping required? Minmal, typical or massive?
5,) Anyone has a wiring diagram for a suitable pass for above questions?

Best regards
Erik

I hope you want to use a dedicated Amplifier for it?

TSP-wise: with a single driver smallest (closed) box will be around 170l(heavily damped with rockwool)-250l for fb around 47Hz. You could half that when doing it isobaric, resulting in just one subwoofer.
Bassreflex will be very large...
Try simulating a Bandpass with WinISD is my suggestion for depth and volume. Ripol is also maybe 'ok' as a filler if other subs are present, but it wont be very loud. I had similar drivers in a Ripol it wasnt sufficient for home cinema.
