As far as "Ownershippy" - I guess that is why I am here sharing what I have figured out and learning from the collective brain trust. I have certainly learned far more than I have shared, but I am working on balancing that out.

I picked up 4 more of the MCM 8's (yeah, I have a problem) at $25 each last weekend, shipped free. You just have to play the discount code game with MCM. They provide a code on each of their flyers. Enter the code in the order sheet, and the price drops. The codes are listed on their website. Rather than look at all the catalogs, I just key in all the codes to get the best pricing. The codes used to stack, but not on my last order.

I also picked up eight more 55-1740's for $15 each, shipped. I guess I am trying to keep up with the Jim's....4 cases of those now - sound familiar?

They have one in stock, but they'll get more of the 55-2421, it is not listed as discontinued like the 55-1740 is.

Code WSC18 drops them to $27.83 each, good through Jan 30th.

Yeah - I saw they were discontinued and jumped on them.

Jim bought em out last time - it isn't always me....

Even at retail, the 1740 is a lot of woofer for the $, it is an amazing woofer for $16.

It was a nice day, so during my lunch hour I knocked another one together (minus the driver cover so far) and took pics this time. (wood was already cut)

I'm assuming you wanted measurements, not pictures... sorry, have to wait till the glue dries before I do any serious testing.

Nothing specific actually. Thanks for the pics, it makes more sense to me how you got the area so low in the beginning of the path with those fillers.

I posted this in a different thread, but since the design is inspired/bassed off of JBell's i figured i would post it here also. It uses the Dayton DVC 310-88, I have one lying around, so i plan to build it after Thanksgiving. It needs a 38hz HPF, but will produce 133.5db with a pair (1200w total and if i used Hornresp correctly).

Jbell, how have the 55-2421s responded to PA use? Were you going to post the final plans for those boxes?
