Hi! I'd like to build a horn sub. Because I'm not that skilled yet, I won't even try to design the horn from scratch.
I really don't need flat response down to 12 Hz and 130dB SPL. My fronts are driven by a 6,5w Single Ended amp, so the SPL is pretty limited I have built a couple of cabinets, and have ok tools, but I don't want to build anything extremely difficult. Well, that's about everything I had in mind, so I'm very open for advices ![]() I hope you guys can help me out! Harald

I've been looking a bit at this project: Horn sub jr.
It seems like something I'd like to build. If I can manage to press it into my time schedule, I will do some comparisation of a couple of drivers. I'd like to use either SEAS or Peerless drivers, because they are easy to obtain here in Norway, compared to other, more exotic drivers

I really liked the double folded version of the 38Hz TH! Is there anything there is good to know before building it? ![]() Harald

May be you could screw (not glue) one sidewall at first in order to
play around with some bating on the duct walls close to the driver. Someting which is may be 1cm thick should be fine. I did not try it, but when I refer to the results of other ppl. here I think it's worth to give it a try. Erik |
