Default narrow sonotube sub

I know there has been many threads on sonotube subs, 3 pages ><! I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a minimum diameter for the tube, I want to put it in a corner (is this corner loading?) and have it about 8" diameter. I've got a extended 21' ceiling here so we can go high high up.

Hi there!

If you want a sonotube sub and place it in a corner the best thing you can get is a sonotube cornerhorn.
Check this out (Just an idea):

Kindest Regards,
Wolfgang

Default Sonotube sub

The idea of the corner sono sub is very interesting. I wonder if we can get more info on that Reckhorn?

As to the 8" idea...just a slightly larger tube will have a lot more volume. Even 10". If you went really tall you could never move it anywhere, and it would have to be fastened to prevent it from falling over.

Good luck with your project!

Default corner sonosub

Hi there: Check out "ElPipo" corner sono sub by the engineers at Pass Lab. This project is for much larger speakers, however the version 1 concept could be scaled down for a corner. (try google to locate this one) Also, you can search this site for Steve Callas sonosub for a lot of detailed information and discussion. Hope you will post your project and listening results. ....regards, Michael
