Default Servo PlateAmps

I'm afraid a quick search didn't yield an answer,

I'm wondering why plate amps don't include servo control options for subs ?

I know some drivers have a separate coil to allow cone movement to be measured and fed-back to the amp etc. but in principle can't you measure the back e.m.f of the primary voice coil without any special windings and therefore achieve servo control on any driver ?

Do a patent search on acebass. Acebass is exactly servo, without the sensing coil. (aka, servo is an improvement over acebass)

a quick search came up with:
STAHL - 'Acebass' Synthesis of Loudspeaker Mechanical Parameters by Electrical Means

SB and audioXpress has had numerous articles on servos.
Some also use a piezo transducer to obtain the voltage for the feedback loop.
