Hi all
I got 2x21L boxes, with 8" drivers in, with Linkwitz, goes to 28Hz@-3dB. I would like to know if there are any advantages/disadvantages of 2x21L boxes vs 1x42L box. Both will achieve same frequency response, but I tried the two boxes with full-range speakers on top, and it created a "bottomless" sound, I can't, however, recreate that sound by putting the two together. Is there a reason for this??? The boxes I mentioned above are just test boxes to see if the Linkwitz works, messing with placing them etc, before I build the proper thing. Thanks in advance, Chris |

This has been discussed pretty extensively. There are vibration cancellation options with a single box, but there are placement optimization options for 2.
