Hi,
I use 2 of these speakers at home in subwoofer cabinets and they sound pretty good, going down very low for me. But now, I'm building new cabinets for PA use. I chose the EMINENCE design for KAPPA LF (Med vented sub box, med power and low Fs) because it seems to be the one which fits best to the specifications of my woofers: VB=121L FB=45Hz Pmax=300W The cabinet is almost built, I just need to fix the front panel but I can't make up my mind about the surface of the laminated vent. The front panel is 49 cm wide. Should I keep the surface given by EMINENCE for its 4 round vents, that is about 27.7 cm² ? In that case, my vent would be 5.6 cm high. But I don't really need a sub, I've already got one (BEYMA 18P1200nd), which is supposed to be used alone with 2 sat most of the time but I want 2 extra cabinets for bass for bigger halls. I need a good response between 60-200Hz. So my question is- should I put a bigger surface? These are the only specs I found about the speaker: http://www.hifikit.se/index.php?id=694 So, thanks in advance for your answers. MRod |

To give you an idea, I found this on the same website:
http://www.hifikit.se/index.php?id=2435 You can notice that one of the loudspeakers recommended for this Basshorn is the 15110 C. |
