Need to know my system's (Bryston & B&W) potential

Hi Folks,

Need help!

Just bought this equipment. I’m novice in music and would like to know more about my system’s potential so that I can make the most of it.

I currently own-
1. Bryston B 60 R integrated amp- 60 watts Rms at 8 ohms (Specifications- www.bryston.ca/BrystonSite05/BrystonDocs.html_)
2. B & W speakers DM 04
3. Philips DVD player (192kHz/24 bit audio DAC enhances analogue sound input)
4. World space radio receiver
5. ADC sound shaper SS-115X Stereo Frequency Equalizer

Thanks a ton for your valuable time and guidance.

Hi,

The first thing you should do is replace (not upgrade) any electrolytics
in the crossover, and probably solder the push on connectors in the
speakers, and checking all the drivers work properly.
( non-operative super tweeters is not unknown ).

The DM4's are Spendor BC1 based. The bass can be tightened by
lining the ports with a thin layer of foam if there is any bass bloat.

The Bryston amplifier seems quite good, using the ADC equaliser
should be detrimental to sound quality, i.e. it is fairly redundant.

Your other stuff I cannot comment on.

:)/sreten.
