Need help installing my in wall subwoofer

I just purchased two in wall subwoofers (one for the family room and one for the basement) that have standard left/right (black/red) wire input jacks, yet my receivers both call for a rca male end.......is there some sort of adapter available?

I tired Radio Shack with no luck and I own the non-returnable subwoofers.

You need an amplifier to drive the subs.
What brand/model are they?

Pretty sure they are honeycomb style/shape and they are definietly low end subwoofers from Phoenix Gold.

They were too good of a deal to pass up plus they are add-ons to the sets I installed last year (front, rear and center channel) which sound surprisingly good.

So, are you suggesting I need an amp in between the Sony home theatre reciever and the subwoofers in order to power these bad boys?

Any brand you would reccomend?
