subwoofer module on entertainment center

I want to build a small sub with this 8" speaker:

I have Pioneer Elite VSX-33TX (5.1, with 100w/ch for suboutput with variable x-over freq and volume control built in) that I will be using to drive small satellite speakers (will be using 2.1 setup).

1. Will the passive subwoofer system work?

I want to add the subwoofer module to the 15x15" entertainment center on the bottom where the carton box is situated.



2. what should the size of subwoofer box be?


3. better sealed or with the port? and size of the tube?
