I get a lot of ?s about speakers and subs over at hardforums. Since I am a yank, this presents a problem.
Anyone recommend an online store with quality, BUDGET, speakers and subwoofers? Kits are ok, pre-built would be nice too. Most of the posters have limited funds but want real audio. thanks and Cheers! |

Don't know if it's any use, there are no big low price outlets like Parts express or madisound but the HiVi drivers tend to be very good value for money and can be bought from here ipl acoustics
He does kits but they are quite pricey. Good service but unfortunately have to be paid by bank transfer or cheque / Postal order etc as he has no online payment... God knows why he bothers with a website... |

Sadly the UK is very lacking in DIY vendors even with such a large number of high end HiFi equipment. Those who exist tend to be over priced and under stocked, I guess its a tough market to get into and pretty risky given the initial outlay and relatively small/fickle market.

I was asking whether you wanted UK subwoofer drivers, your wording isn't exactly crystal. Look mate, bkelec and wilmslow audio in the UK are the main game with hifi subwoofers and drivers. You will be hard pressed to find more value in some of the kits from them. Not providing t/s specs is website design, I hope you've heard of a thing called 'google'? I hear it's good at finding such things. Please do not 'wtf' in that way, whatever that means. I say. At least I'm not taking the ****. |
