I've got a subwoofer, but the centre (where it pops out) has been pushed in. Will this affect the quality of the sound?

Hi,
This has happened to me in the past, and yes, it does affect the quality of sound. You could try using a vacuum cleaner to suck it back, or depending on its material, duct tape could work too. Hope this helps.

Just for others' information, I've also gotten away with using a pin- push it through the dustcap and use it to pull it back out. It leaves a very small hole and I've never noticed any problems it has caused, although I've only used it on drivers being used as subwoofers.

If it is vented, you might be able to push the cone from the back using Q-tips ot something similar.

On drivers with a vented polepiece I even managed to get dustcaps back into shape by blowing into the diver's vent.
